It was Wednesday 9th March 2016 the day AlphaGo, an artificially intelligent program developed by Google’s DeepMind was going to compete against the world’s top Go player Lee Sedol.

To our absolute amazement, AlphaGo achieved the ‘impossible’ and beat Lee Sedol four games to five elevating the status of artificial intelligence from an interesting research project to future overlord. Now would be a good time to practice bending one knee and saying, “anything for you master”

Go is a complex board game that requires intuition, creative and strategic thinking. It has long been considered the ‘impossible’ challenge in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and for a computer to beat a human it would need to mimic many aspects of the human brain. This is what made the challenge so exciting. Could artificial intelligence out think one of the world more strategic thinkers?

As a team of seasoned marketers, we were excited by the possibilities of applying artificial intelligence to the most challenging aspects of marketing and sales. Could we improve performance exponentially while simultaneously reducing marketing budgets?

Having worked with many of the world’s top marketing technology companies we had a global knowledge base to draw upon. Our initial research blew our minds. Not only were there companies (mostly startups) specializing in marketing Ai, but they were crushing it. These companies were producing results that exceeded our wildest expectations.

The downside, yes there is always one of those - was that many of these exciting startups were two to five years away from commercialization and the technology required a specialist to unleash the ‘magic’. That’s when we decided to launch One Idea Ventures, a marketing agency that would simplify artificial intelligence and help the average business dominate their market.

Since launching we’ve been developing partnerships with many exciting Ai companies and continue to build our Ai[x] Methodology for strategic Ai integration into existing marketing & sales funnels.
